Cristen joined the C. Ritchie family in 1997 as a wedding assistant. 
She continued to work in the studio and at weddings through her college career
at the College of William and Mary and quickly discovered that she loved it.  She then became one of the
wedding photographers in 2002 and has been a part of up to thirty weddings per year since that time.  
Cristen also opened up C. Ritchie Photography of Gloucester in the historic district in 2005.
